Stuff the Bus will take place on July 16-18 at McDonald’s on Tiffin Ave.  This community collaboration with Christian Clearing House,  WFIN/WKXA, The Fox, The Findlay Publishing Company, McDonalds, The Family Center, and StoneBridge Church,  distributed over 1000 backpacks filled with school supplies to area children in 2019.  The needs are  always great, however the supplies/cash donations that are collected at the bus is just the start.  If your church or business would like to set up a collection box for supplies to help, donations can be  dropped off at StoneBridge Church  on or before August 3, 2020.  Backpacks are always the largest need.  The filled backpacks will be distributed prior to the start of school.  Any remaining supplies are taken directly to the schools.  We are requesting all donations be new.

If you know of a family in need of receiving school supplies and shoes, registration is required.  Applications to register will be available beginning July 20, 2020 online at www.cchsupport.org .  Parents will be required to input the child’s Social Security number for each child during registration.  All families needing assistance must be residents of Hancock County.

Not only does CCH work to coordinate the school supply distribution, we also work to raise enough funds for Project Happy Feet.  Through a voucher program, local children are able to receive a new pair of back-to-school shoes.  Without this program, some area children would not have suitable shoes to start the school year.  For the past five years, over $125,000 has been raised so area children can go to the shoe store for a new pair of shoes.  The voucher is valued at $50 and is good for one pair of shoes.  Any unused dollars come back to CCH to help provide shoes for additional children.  100% of dollars raised for Project Happy Feet go directly to help area children.  Additional dollars are needed to continue the program.  In 2019, CCH was also able to collaborate with Michael Brough from GJM accounting firm and  the local coordinator of Hannah’s Socks,  who   donated over 2000 pairs of new socks for our kids.

In past years, funding for Project Happy Feet has been raised through community donations and grants from The Marathon LPGA, Rotary, The Findlay-Hancock Community Foundation, Handbags That Help, Alpha Green, Gateway Church, etc.   If you would like to donate, please make checks payable to Christian Clearing House or donate via PayPal at www.cchsupport.org. Add Project Happy Feet in the memo section.
